Security seal and tape Product Design

The intended application of Tamper Evident security seals and tapes will determine the product options.

For example, if a security seal or tape is to be applied to the surface of an item which will be used again, then the residue will need to be temporary or the security seal or tape will have to leave no residue at all. If on the other hand, the surface that the seal is to be used on is disposable, then the residue is not an issue and can be permanent. 

The surface material that the security seal or tape will be used on is another important factor in product design. Examples of other issues for consideration include size, colour, printability, unique numbering, barcoding and the method by which tampering is highlighted.
